IWF UK is delighted to announce that our newly elected Chair is Shirley Cooper who takes over as Julie Goldstein steps down from the role after four momentous and successful years.
‘I’m thrilled and honoured to have been chosen to lead this organisation of remarkable women leaders from across every sector,’ said Shirley, who has extensive experience in financial, commercial and operational leadership and is also an ambassador for not-for-profits that support economic development for women.
Shirley is joined by three new Board members: Suzanne Todd, elected as Secretary, Susan Young, a former IWF UK Chair, and Jeanette Cowley. They step up as Marty Rolle, Alison Maitland and Anne Minto OBE also step down after four years of service.
Julie congratulated the new team on their election and wished them well. In her farewell message to members, she reflected on the progress made on many fronts: membership, programme, communications, support for high-potential women, and connections with IWF Global and other organisations advancing women’s leadership and voices.
She thanked all those with whom she has worked during her term and said: “I am enormously proud of our forum, of who we are and what we have accomplished together over these years.”
