The second event in the 'Life on Boards' series took place on 16 November and focussed on Charities. IWF UK Board Member, Sally Davies moderated a fascinating discussion with a distinguished panel of speakers.
Lynne Berry OBE, Chair, Breast Cancer Now; Janet Cooper OBE, Trustee, RNLI; Rob Owen OBE, Chief Executive,St Giles’ Trust and Susan Whiddington, Director, Mousetrap Theatre Projects and Chair, Grants Committee, John Lyon’s Charity.
The panel talked about their experience in terms of the appointment process and also about the responsibilities and liabilities and the issues they are currently facing, a lively and highly informative discussion followed. This series is being kindly hosted by IWF UK member, Denise Jagger at Eversheds-Sutherland and the next event in the new year will focus on corporate boards.
