IWF UK Board roles
Your new Board has been confirming its new roles and areas of responsibility, under Julie Goldstein’s leadership as Chair. If you would like to contribute to any of these areas, please contact Liz or the Board member involved.
Shirley Cooper continues to support IWF UK as the Treasurer.
Elaine Aarons is Company Secretary and responsible for governance matters. In addition she sits on the Ethical Leadership Committee and is involved in launching One Loud Voice for Women (focused on the equality agenda for women in the workplace).
Anne Minto OBE and Alison Maitland are working on membership, including reviewing and refreshing the membership criteria, nomination process and engagement with members.
Sally Davies, Kathryn Pretzel-Shiels and Christine Scholes are developing the Programme strategy and supporting Liz Winder in developing and delivering an impactful and vibrant programme of events.

Cynthia Pine CBE is developing an international strategy to raise the profile of IWF UK both with IWF in Washington and other forums, including those in Europe.
Ali Kennedy and Alison Maitland are jointly leading our communication and social media strategy with a view to supporting communication with members via our website and raising the profile of IWF UK to attract new members.
As the positions were uncontested, all candidates were successful, and with over 60 members voting, this exceeded the requirements of the Articles of Association. For completeness, although they did not require re-election at the AGM, Elaine Aarons continues as Company Secretary and Christine Scholes continues as Director.
At the AGM thanks were expressed to Pamela Goldberg, Edna Kissmann, Helen Pitcher and Sarah Thewlis who stepped down as Directors, and of course to Kate Jenkins, for Chairing the organisation over the past 2 years.
The accounts and financial statements for IWF UK Ltd for the period ended 31 December 2015 were approved and Shirley Cooper gave the Treasurer’s Report. Kate Jenkins then gave the Chair’s Review of the Year and welcomed Julie Goldstein as the new Chair. Thank you to everyone who voted and who came along to the AGM and Dinner.
Farewell from outgoing Chair, Kate Jenkins
I want to thank everyone for giving me such an enjoyable time. It has been wonderful to meet so many members and to take part in so many very special events. I am grateful to my colleagues on the Board who have helped to steer us through the past two years. And very heartfelt thanks to Liz who has been a wonderful colleague. I hand over to Julie with great pleasure, I'm sure the next two years will continue to build IWF UK as a great organisation to be involved with.
Welcome message from new Chair, Julie Goldstein
I am delighted to be elected as your new Chair. It is a huge honour to take up this role, and I look forward to working with the Board and you all to enable our forum to take its next steps forward. Thanks to all of you, IWF UK is already a highly successful and admired organisation. Coming into this role I am keen to see how we can build on current successes and further develop our relationship with the IWF global community and the Emerging Leaders Network. We will continue to deliver a vibrant and diverse programme that meets the expectations of all of our members. Please do share your views, ideas and ambitions for the future.
