Events

Our annual programme is our most important platform for promoting women’s leadership and for enriching each other’s lives by sharing knowledge, ideas and intellectual capital. Our programme is the key to providing and maintaining our sense of community.

The programme includes: member breakfasts; behind-the-scenes tours; special briefings; member dine-arounds; special interest groups and our annual events: Annual General Meeting; Jean Denton Lecture; Summer Reception and Christmas Breakfast.

In addition, we look to promote the international agenda and benefits of membership of IWF through participation in the IWF programme, including two major events in the year, one in North America and one elsewhere in the world.

Life on Boards: Charities

We are delighted to announce a new series of panel discussions for Members this Autumn, kindly hosted by Denise Jagger at Eversheds Sutherland LLP's offices in the City and produced by Sally Davies, Alison Maitland and Susan Vinnicombe CBE.

The aim of the series is twofold: to help inform members who might be interested to apply for board positions in different sectors and, secondly, to inform members and to have a lively discussion around the current issues being debated on boards.  What is on the agenda and what are the 'hot topics'?  The panel will talk about their experiences in terms of the appointment process, their particular role, their responsibilities and liabilities and the issue they are involved with.

This second event will focus on Charities.

Speakers include Lynne Berry OBE, Chair, Breast Cancer Now, Susan Whiddington, Director, Mousetrap Theatre Projects and Rob Owen OBE, Chief Executive, St Giles Trust.

Come and join us for a lively and informative discussion!

The third event in this series will take place early in the New Year and focus on Corporate Boards - so please watch this space!

Cost: £20 members, £25 guests

Drinks and canapes will be served.

LAST DATE FOR CANCELLATIONS: THURS 9 NOVEMBER 2017

Price: £0.00
