Events

Our annual programme is our most important platform for promoting women’s leadership and for enriching each other’s lives by sharing knowledge, ideas and intellectual capital. Our programme is the key to providing and maintaining our sense of community.

The programme includes: member breakfasts; behind-the-scenes tours; special briefings; member dine-arounds; special interest groups and our annual events: Annual General Meeting; Jean Denton Lecture; Summer Reception and Christmas Breakfast.

In addition, we look to promote the international agenda and benefits of membership of IWF through participation in the IWF programme, including two major events in the year, one in North America and one elsewhere in the world.

The Reform Club, 104 Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5EW

Behind the Scenes at the Reform Club

Three members of IWF UK, Barbara Hosking, Heather Eggins and Judith Donovan are passionate members of the Reform Club.
They would like to show you why, and to offer a chance to join us, quickly and easily.

Come and enjoy drinks and canapes and a private tour of the most beautiful club in London, built by Charles Barry to celebrate the passing of the great Reform Act which gave the vote to the middle classes and led the way to democracy.   This tradition continues as, 36 years ago, it was the first of the gentlemen’s clubs to admit women to full membership.

It is no longer a political club but the spirits of Asquith, Thackeray and all the great writers, painters and thinkers of the nineteenth century are still around.

In fiction, it was here that the Around the World In Eighty Days wager was made, and Smiley collected a revolver from his bedroom.

Come and see if this suits you.
